Home About TimeDesign's Author - Patrick Schutte

I was born in Germiston, South Africa in June 1960.

I started Grade one at Primrose Primary School in 1966 and then finally matriculated in 1977 at Dawnview High School.

I was employed with the Rand Mines Group as a learner official assayer at Durban Roodepoort Deep. I studied the first two years of Extraction Metallurgy at Wits Technikon before doing my two year stint of National Service.

I completed my studies and received my Government Certificate for Competency in Assaying during the year of 1983, this is also the year I became a member of Mensa. I was transferred to Witbank where I worked at Douglas Colliery as Assistant Chief Chemist.

I then made a paradigm shift about 1987 back to Johannesburg where I was employed as a programmer at Thoroughware Software Systems. I eventually moved to Science Management Corporation still working as a programmer using Thoroughbred's Business Basic.

My Father, brother and I started our own company in 1989 called Onyx Computer Systems where I was or still am doing programming support for companies like ACNielsen of South Africa, Madison Filtaflo, and the Water and Sewerage Authority of Lesotho.

I completed my Diploma of Datametrics(cum laude) in 2003.

I usually travel to Cape Town once a year to present a Timetabling Workshop using TimeDesign with AB-IT Solutions.
